Making sure you get the care you need more easily.

We are really excited to share with you that we are changing our current
appointment system, to improve how your future appointments are booked
and to make sure you get the care you need more easily.

From the 1st of October, if you need an appointment or administrative support
from the Stennack Surgery you will now complete an online form, between
7am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. Your request will be reviewed by our team,
and they will get back to you as soon as possible with the best solution for
you. If your request requires emergency medical attention, please do
not complete a form and dial 999 instead.

When you complete the online form, you will have the opportunity to say how
best to contact you (telephone call, text message, etc.). If you do not have
access to the internet, or do not wish to complete the online form, do not
worry our team is here to help and can complete the form for you.

Our telephone lines will remain open, and patients can still visit us at the
Stennack Surgery.

Appointments

This new system will help us make the most of all our available appointments.
You may be seen a at Stennack Surgery (face-to-face) or you may be offered
a telephone appointment.

We want you to see the right person at the right time, so your request will first
be reviewed by one of our triage team. You may be offered an appointment
with one of our primary care team. We are a team of many different skills and
qualifications, and your appointment will be booked with the best person for
your needs.

This may be a:

  • GP (Doctor)
  • Member of our nursing team
  • Member of our medicines management team (Pharmacist)
  • First Contact Physiotherapist
  • Member of our Mental Health Hub
  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner
  • Nurse Practitioner
  • Healthcare Assistant (HCA)
  • Social Prescriber

These staff are just some of our Stennack Team, and there are also other
team members who may be able to help too.

If an appointment is not the best result for you, we will let you know where
you can go for help. This may be managing your problem at home, speaking
to one of our administrative team, or visiting a Community Pharmacist, or
other community service.
